We have moved servers (again, yes); this time to a server located within the United States. We're still ironing out the kinks but sites are back online for the most part. We're aware of the following issues currently and are working to resolve them:

* GoShorten.IT links are not redirecting
* EMail Uploads are non-functional

I've moved everything across to a new server this afternoon. Everything seems to have gone smoothly, if you spot any bugs please do get in touch.

Just a small update. On the 'Manage your files' area there is now a 'Select all' and 'Unselect all' link that you can click.

I am sorry to say that all non-image file extensions will be removed from the 'accepted extensions' list this evening.

You may be aware that all files that are uploaded to GoPut.IT are screened to make sure that they don't break the rules that we've set. It is becoming too much of a burden to check the miscellaneous files.

Initially, it was expected that these sorts of files were ancillary to the normal operation of the then 'i-dot' image uploader. Since then, however, these miscellaneous files have been uploaded in their masses.

Staff who do checks on the non-image files often remove the content from the site because it breaks our rules, or is extremely borderline/questionable.

HOWEVER- Some users do not upload these files as often. If you are one of these users, and still want to be able to upload non-image files which were accepted, then please tweet @GoPutIT on Twitter about it (or e-mail jdkeogh@live.com) and I'll consider allowing you to continue doing so. This does not mean that by getting in touch you will automatically be given this 'status'.

Any non-image files that were uploaded before the non-image extensions were removed from the 'accepted extensions' list won't automatically be removed because of this. After being checked, however, they may be removed if they break our rules.

Note- You can use GoPaste.IT to create 'pastes'.

The new addition to the GoPut.IT 'network' of sites has launched - GoShorten.IT.

GoShorten.IT is a site that allows you to shorten links using the jke.co domain. If you're logged in when you create a shortened link, it will be saved against your account and you can refer to it later. Hit counts and sites who have referred to the file are recorded and can be viewed from the 'Manage your links' area.
